‘Don’t Lose’ is an interesting combination of guitar-led Indie pop and synth-heavy electronic music. Elder Island are a talented trio hailing from Bristol, employing a blend of MPCs, guitar, cello, bass and keys to create their music. While each instrument the band employs is noticeable in this track, young, London-based duo Dextric’s remix brings a unique and distinctive sound, from the looping, reverb-heavy keyboards, to the long, held cello notes that fade in and out as the piece ends.
